Janet and Danny

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua was the venue for Janet and Danny's nuptial blessings. Laura Reynolds was the Wedding Manager who coordinated this event atop the scenic Napili Lawn.

Being serenade by their guests after the ceremony, Janet and Danny were surprised by the unexpected gift.

Asa Flowers outdid themselves with the cermony set-up. As their guests enjoyed the cocktail reception, Janet and Danny took a moment to sit and reflect. Thank you for sharing your day with me!

Becky

Beautiful, motivated and in killer shape......that's Becky.
Working as a Group X Class instructor at a fitness center keeps her busy as well as tone. So, when I was asked to take photos of her for her portfolio, I was on it.

Good luck with your fitness competition in Honolulu. You go girl!

Susan and Todd

"The West Maui mountains, the island of Molokai in the distance, the ocean all around us and your family. We are all the witnesses to your wedding vows."

There wasn't a dry eye in sight when Todd's sister serenade everyone during the ceremony.

Kristina Harpe, Wedding Manager extraordinaire, coordinated this intimate family-only affair at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

After the ceremony we headed down to the beach for sunset.

Susan's spontaneous laughter, this is my favorite shot

Congratulations Susan and Todd! Thank you for including me in this celebration. Welcome to the beginning of your new adventure.

Aloha!

"Make It Work"

These are Tim Gunn's words of advice he shares with the designers on the weekly Bravo Channel show, Project Runway.

My wife and I love this show!

I am not too sure what the appeal for me is exactly. Perhaps it is somewhere between my art school projects back in the day, pulling the pressure-filled all-nighters for portfolio cirtique in the morning. Or maybe, my years of video editing, always pursuing the art of the "cut". Most likely it's just the drama of reality TV.

This week's episode was heart breaking. The challenge was to create a bridesmaid dress that best echoed the look of their collection to be shown at New York Fashion Week. "There is nothing wrong with bridesmaid's dresses being pretty and cute ladies", was the best line of the evening from the designer Korto.

It was Fierce!

Anyone have a clue what Heidi Klum says as she says goodbye to each week's loser?
"Off She Daisy?!"

Miss Ava

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Ava and her mom. I can't believe how fast she is growing! The cowgirl is 3 years old already!
And today, I want to wish Nichol a Happy Birthday. It is fun being with you and your family. Thank you for all the years of friendship and making, "Brother Scott", feel as if I am part of the family.

I love that juicy light at sunset! We call that time of day the "Golden Hour", but here in Hawaii the sun sets super fast, so it is really the "Golden 30 Minutes"!

Happy Wedding Anniversary Mom and Dad

Wow 41 years! What an accomplishment.

Although there are many, many miles separating Pennsylvania from Maui. I feel a new sense of closeness after the birth of my daughter. Thank you for ALWAYS being there for me. Your love and support has meant the world to me.

Besides, If the two of you hadn't hooked up, there would not be a ME! :-)

For you classic car fans out there....this is "Ripples", a 1914 Model-T Ford. It is not uncommon for my dad to crank her up on a beautiful or not so beautiful and raining day, just for the fun of it.

Welcome Beau

As I was finishing my degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I met Tim. We were windsurfing off the shores of Tybee Island, Georgia. In "those parts", at that time, not a popular activity! We became instant friends.

Tim and Angie have honored me on more than one occasion. Their engagement, wedding day, maternity and now photographing the new addition to this beautiful family. Beau Christopher is so lucky to have such wonderful parents. Here is to many years of health and happiness.

Parenthood is so cool. I am blessed to have an opportunity to be a father, Life is Great!
