Thankful

Tonight, on my drive home from photographing an event, I heard my first holiday song of the season......and I remembered.

Last year this time, we loved hearing the Christmas music on the radio, because we knew it wouldn't be long until you arrived.

OMG, did Santa ever deliver!!!




Kainani, your mother and I are so thankful to have you in our lives. You are such an inspiration and every day, I am in awe of your accomplishments. We love you!

Jennifer and Chris

Little did Chris and Jennifer know that a chance meeting on their apartment balcony would lead to this....

Today, six years later, their daughter Helena, became the flower girl.

Ashley and Clark

As an event planner from Omaha, Jodie is accustomed to planning for hundreds. With the help of Laura Reynolds, Wedding Manger at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, she was able to just enjoy being the Mother of the Bride.

"For you, I'd wait 'til kingdom come" are the Coldplay song lyrics inscribed in their wedding bands.

Emma and Sam

Today, is the 76th year wedding anniversay of my maternal grandparents, Emma and Sam.

Althought my grandfather lived to celebrate their 74th anniversary, my grandmother, Nana, is like the Energizer Battery Bunny.....she's aging in reverse. I love you Nana!

I miss you Poppop. and I see your sense of humor in my daughter.

Apples and Oranges

As the saying goes... you can't compare two different things and expect the same result.

Ever wonder why some photographers include, or do not include, Digital Negatives in their packages or why there is a difference in price for the Digital Negative CDs?

Oh wait, let me explain what Digital Negatives are first.

Digital negatives are to a digital camera what film negatives are to a 35mm film camera. Got it?

One reason for the price difference could be that they are not the same in image SIZE. I mean that the image RESOLUTION, which has everything to do with print quality, is not the same. If a photographer sells copies of the files to be viewed through Windows Explorer or some other computer program and never to be printed, that's one thing. But if you are interested in printing, you must have the largest file in image size and quality to create a decent looking print.

Make sure to ask your photographer if the RESOLUTION is high enough for quality printing from the Digital Negatives.

Remember.....Don't buy an apple if you really want an orange.

Karen and Mike

I love my job!

Karen and Mike met when they were only 17. Although, their paths didn't connect until years later, they are making up for lost time. Together with their son, Austin, they shared words of commitment and love in front of 60 friends and family.

Here is Austin, witnessing his parents vows.

For me, it's always fun to see the couple really enjoying the "moment". It was a Joyous Occasion!

Suzanne and Graeme

This New Jersey girl and this South African boy met in England on a school night, and its been a love affair ever since. Today, they tied the knot at the Honolua Chapel in Kapalua.

Suzanne's hair and make-up was done by Dan Sanchez and Jessica Waite. Looking good! :-)

You guys were made for each other. Best Wishes and Aloha!

Chelsea and David

The flower girls "Ham it up" with Chelsea and David after their wedding. Carin Seim, Wedding Manager at The Four Season Resort Maui, coordinated their ceremony on the Ocean Front Lawn.

While enjoying the cocktail reception at Spago, the guests voted the pear martini as the "drink" of the night.

Congratulations Chelsea and David! Thank you for including me on your special day.

Max

This is Max, Carolyn and Danny's 7 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Max had the honor of being the ring bearer at his parents wedding.

The floral design was by Country Bouquets. Wedding manager, Denise Black, at The Four Seasons Resort Maui did a fabulous job coordinating all the details. The ballroom setup was AMAZING!
